My Boston paintings depict the city as one living being. In my most recent works, clouds, trees and roof deck railings are animated participants inside Boston’s various neighborhoods. The Brownstones, of course, take center stage and seem almost like portraits themselves.
Boston streets come to life in the spring and summer, and that is what inspires me the most.
This series eternalize the beauty and warmth of a city that is traditional and daring at the same time. The red bricks, bright blue sky and green trees hide subtle hints of classic urban elements such as shops, restaurants and garages. There is a lot happening on these canvases, as there are on the streets of Boston.
